That being said, we did get lucky to be in Paris on the first Sunday of the month, which is a day known throughout Europe as having free admission into many museums. (Word of advice: Get in line early! And try to find an entrance less trafficked by the public; you will get in faster!) Because this was the majority of the girls' first time in "The City of Lights", they went to The Louvre...which is a definite must-do! But since I have already been (and know how massive The Louvre is), I decided to try Musée d'Orsay instead!
And WOW, was that such a good decision. See, I love all art, but I especially love art around the impressionism era, and my all-time favorite artist is Claude Monet. As I made my way through Musée d'Orsay, I quickly learned that this museum is the epicenter of my most adored art. There wasn't just one Monet painting, but a whole room dedicated to him. There wasn't just a handful of impressionism art, but almost everything was impressionism!
Being at Musée d'Orsay was truly a moment I will remember the rest of my life. I'm not gonna lie, I got teary-eyed! I just got so overwhelming happy seeing artworks I have admired since high school, and some I even studied and recreated myself. I so hope one day I can return to Musée d'Orsay and spend a whole day there. =)
